Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

Welcome to Peace and Hominy Catering (“Peace and Hominy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Peace and Hominy website and apply to inquiries, proposals, orders, catering services, online purchases, and other transactions with us.

By using our website, submitting an inquiry, accepting a proposal, placing an order, or making a payment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any additional terms contained in an applicable catering agreement, proposal, invoice, or written confirmation.

Please review these terms carefully before booking our services.

CATERING INQUIRIES & PROPOSALS

Submitting a catering inquiry through our website does not guarantee availability or constitute a confirmed booking.

After receiving an inquiry, Peace and Hominy may provide a catering proposal, estimate, menu recommendation, or other information based on the details provided.

Proposals may include information such as:

  • Event date and location

  • Guest count

  • Menu selections

  • Catering services

  • Staffing or service options

  • Delivery and setup

  • Applicable fees

  • Taxes

  • Payment requirements

  • Estimated total cost

A proposal or estimate is not a confirmed booking unless and until the required agreement, deposit, payment, or other booking requirements have been completed.

BOOKING & EVENT CONFIRMATION

An event is considered officially booked only after Peace and Hominy has received all required booking documentation and payment necessary to secure the event date.

Availability is not guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed in writing.

Peace and Hominy reserves the right to decline an inquiry or booking when a requested date, menu, service, location, guest count, or other event requirement cannot reasonably be accommodated.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

A deposit or initial payment may be required to secure your event date.

Unless otherwise stated in your catering proposal or agreement:

[CHEF PIE INSERT YOUR DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT]

The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline stated in your proposal, invoice, or catering agreement.

Failure to make required payments by the applicable deadline may result in cancellation of the event or release of the reserved date.

Any fees associated with late payments, returned payments, or other payment issues will be communicated in the applicable proposal or agreement.

PRICING & QUOTES

Pricing is based on the information provided to Peace and Hominy at the time of the proposal.

Changes to the event after a proposal has been issued may result in a change to the total price.

Changes that may affect pricing include:

  • Guest count

  • Menu selections

  • Event location

  • Service level

  • Delivery requirements

  • Staffing requirements

  • Equipment or rental needs

  • Event duration

  • Setup or breakdown requirements

  • Additional services requested by the client

Prices and availability are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.

GUEST COUNT & FINAL HEADCOUNT

The client is responsible for providing an accurate guest count.

A final guest count must be provided by the deadline stated in the applicable catering proposal or agreement.

Increasing the guest count after the final headcount deadline may result in additional charges and is subject to product, staffing, and service availability.

Reducing the guest count after the applicable deadline may not result in a reduction of the contracted price, depending on the terms of the applicable catering agreement.

MENU CHANGES & SUBSTITUTIONS

Peace and Hominy makes reasonable efforts to prepare the menu selected by the client.

However, ingredients may occasionally become unavailable due to supplier availability, seasonal limitations, market conditions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

When necessary, Peace and Hominy may substitute an ingredient or item with a reasonably comparable alternative.

Clients will be notified of significant substitutions when reasonably practicable.

Menu changes requested by the client after confirmation may result in additional charges.

FOOD ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Peace and Hominy takes food allergies and dietary restrictions seriously.

Clients are responsible for notifying Peace and Hominy of known food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special dietary requirements before the event.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate documented dietary requests when possible.

However, Peace and Hominy cannot guarantee that food will be completely free from allergens or cross-contact because food may be prepared in environments where common allergens are present.

Individuals with severe or life-threatening food allergies should contact Peace and Hominy before placing an order to discuss whether their dietary needs can safely be accommodated.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation terms may vary depending on the type, size, timing, and nature of the event.

Unless otherwise stated in a signed catering agreement or proposal:

Any refund, credit, or cancellation fee will be determined according to the applicable catering agreement.

RESCHEDULING

Requests to change an event date must be made as soon as possible.

Rescheduling is subject to Peace and Hominy's availability and may result in additional charges depending on timing, event size, staffing, food purchases, rentals, and other commitments associated with the original event.

A rescheduled event is not confirmed until the new date has been approved by Peace and Hominy in writing.

This may include:

  • Vendor insurance requirements

  • Health or food-service requirements

  • Parking restrictions

  • Kitchen access

  • Fire or safety restrictions

  • Alcohol-related requirements

  • Setup and breakdown restrictions

Additional venue-related costs may be charged to the client when they are not included in the original proposal.

If tables, serving equipment, linens, chafing dishes, décor, utensils, or other rental items are provided or arranged by Peace and Hominy, the client may be responsible for loss, theft, damage, or excessive cleaning associated with those items, as specified in the applicable agreement.

Any applicable replacement or damage charges will be communicated to the client.
